Agua Bajo El Sol Hurricane Maria


lots of rain there today. Jenny's house is flooded again. the river behind her overflooded again.

still no electricity. no water. so she explains to me the WATER sitchu cuz you know she cares for her 95 year old mother - (remember the video?) 

so she explains that the water is toooo cold! how can she bathe her! she bathed her " echando agua de un golpe"... then she explain this: listen to the SPIRIT OF THE PUERTO RICAN PEOPLE:

se me ocurrio anteyer. por que yo pense que puedo ir a la casa de un vecino como 6 casas atras y calentar el agua con su estufita de gas. pero me occurrio anteyer- casi 3 semanas despues del hurakan! - me occurio,... llene un cubo de agua y lo puse afuera bajo el sol. y me puedes creer que se sobrecalento! tan y tan caliente que tuve que echarle agua fria de la pluma!

and so she's as happy as can be to continue to do this till there is hot water again. THIS is the spirit of the Puerto Rican people!
