i lived to see Missy Foo meet her match! oh yes! this is what happened…
its bad enough trying to remember which fork is the salad fork but imagine having Missy Foo sitting right next to you! But at least i heard the following conversation between Missy Foo and the only Renaissance Latina! She was no match for Missy Foo! check it--->
we were at the Long Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Awards Hat Luncheon
RL: [smiling gently and brightly] I bought this… in London.
Missy Foo picked up the butter knife to butter her biscuit, due to the fact that she just probably lost her appetite!
MF: Thats great! well, such nice weather for a hat luncheon, wouldn’t you agree?
RL: Yes a perfectly dewy day! with flowers blooming! [her gentleness not enough to have Missy Foo not show her thorns]
MF: Reminds me of the flowers at the Botanical Gardens! I can’t wait to check out the new exhibit about Frida Kahlo. Yes. Frida al Fresco it’s called! I’ll be there next weekend because *I* am a member… of the Botanical Gardens. and so… have you?.... have you been…
RL: why yes, i especially enjoy their Christmas lights exhibit.
Miss Renaissance has truly seen the world and exudes grace, almost as gracefully as Missy Foo swooshes her wine glass adeptly with her pinky in the air.
Missy Foo seems to enjoy this compatibility with this Renaissance woman. so she bravely goes to where Ive never seen her go before…. she practically asks for a re-invitation! like this….
MF: This is a wonderful event. How do i get on the list for the next one?
RL: Oh thank you! We did work night and day planning every detail!
MF: I see. I appreciate all the details. I particularly noticed that the center pieces are different and varied on each table. So the next event, how do i get on that list?
RL: Oh that’s easy! You’re already in because--- you already know La Diva Latina!
As Renaissance Lady flashes her smile towards me!
