My GringaMom decided to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.
I tried to remind her.... Mother, we are PUERTO RICAN!
But it was no use!
So we all went over to Mom's house for the Cinco de Mayo Fiesta!
She starts with an appetizer of Ceviche de Camarones.
So I had to tell her... Mother, ceviche is PERUVIAN. ...
"NO it's not!" she said. "It is most definitely Mexican!"
"Oh yes it is, Mother!" I insisted. "Ceviche is Peruvian!!!"
"Fine," she says. "Why don't we ask Fernando then!?!"
Fernando glances over at his wife MissyFoo and says,
"When is your family going to understand I'm not Mexican! Im Nicaraguan!!!"
