get on the 6 train local ready to just sit and read my Oprah Magazine. i just about opened the damn mag and a jamaican woman sitting across strains her neck to see the cover. like looking under to see. and says: that cant be oprah! no. i straighten out the mag so she can SEE it better. i am clearly disturbed. she says. thats oprah? then it must be an old magazine. i cut my eyes to the side and say: lady, its the latest issue. sure. she says: she looks good. very thin. wow! well, they must have taken the picture a long time ago then.
so she clearly just wants to TALK? who *does* that on a nyc subway. like leave me alone lady - i wanna read my oprah.
i force a smile and say - no its a recent pic. she's that thin. right now. as in now meaning a few months ago. besides, its photoshopped.
